War & Peace is a British-American Historical Drama TV mini series directed by Tom Harper based on the novel War and Peace by the Russian author Leo Tolstoy. The miniseries first aired on BBC One on 3 January 2016. Until now, there is no place more peace than war in War & Peace, but the three central characters, Pierre, Prince Andrew and Natasha seems well cast and the eternal triangle is formed in a complex manner, as expected. The series does not feel terribly Russia, but it is clear that culture and the problems that existed at the time were typical of continental Europe. Napoleon terrorized Europe and, like so many before and after him, he believed that Russia should enter under my spell. It is not therefore surprising that people like Prince Andrew military found the perfect vehicle for his ambition and patriotism. But the war is clearly going to devastate many of the leading members of the Russian society.
Tolstoy’s ability to tell the story of a complex love is already showing through, and secondary characters like Prince Vasili, Andrei; Sister Mary and Jim Broadbent wonderful cameo as the father of Andrei make this a first-class entertainment. It is always difficult to adapt the classic novel long.To 1,800 pages me, this show portrays Tolstoy masterpiece pretty well, you hooked on the story from the beginning. It seems obvious, a lot of work was the production of the show and the presence of Paul Dano as Pierre Pierre makes it even better. The characters portrayed in depth; landscapes, ballrooms, the costumes displayed a joy for the eye. The casting is good for the trio, Lily, James, James Norton and Paul Dano and others. Do not offend the eye, which decompose in the era represented.
