The Huntsman: Winter’s War is everything that you would expect it to be. The Huntsman is about a well, Huntsman who has to save the kingdom after a snow queen and her sister plan to rule it. As the mega-CGI blockbuster picture that it is, the film struggles to get going and has severe story problems. For family fun with a satisfying love conquers all theme, this immersive good versus evil romp brilliantly directed is a must-see for those with young children, or still young at heart. The linear story doesn’t stretch the talented cast but nor should it, with enough emotional tugs and laugh out loud moments to warrant a far greater rating than the so-called experts have given it.
