An account of serial killer Richard Ramírez and his rampage in California during the mid-1980s. Lou Diamond Phillips plays Richard Ramirez on death row and nails the character perfectly. He is so perfectly horrible anger and control can almost see below smolder. Still fascinates Kit and opens more to her that he still thought possible. Their scenes together were great; I noticed that I was losing my breath almost no dialogue. My favorite character is the young Ramirez, played by Ben Barrett. We can see the psychological changes as it progresses from troubled teen to a serial killer. Retired homicide detective Sheriff Gil Carrillo was a consultant for the film. It was one of the first officers Ramirez interview after his capture. Many of the people that really captures Ramirez helped that day, in 1985, was also extras in the film. The entire cast was great and it is a film not to be missed!
